• 1 cup brown rice

In a 1 - 2 quart saucepan, combine rice and water. Over high heat bring
the water to a boil. Reduce heat to low, cover with a tight fitting lid
and simmer until all the liquid is absorbed and the brown rice is tender.
The cooking time for a brown rice recipe is approximately 40 minutes.
After cooking, let the brown rice sit for 2 minutes, covered, before fluffing
with a fork. Double the sitting time to 4 minutes for a brown rice recipe
with converted brown rice.
